Davidson currently have two video ‘pioneers’, consultants who are working closely with clients to represent their opportunities in a 360 way. Their video job ads often feature a brief interview with the hiring manager and supporting footage of the workplace, giving candidates a greater understanding of the personalities, the vision for the role and the employee value proposition.
The team supplement their candidate messaging with video, with their own in-house experts sharing advice on interview preparation and interview feedback and outcomes.
Davidson have also introduced internal video communications, with hiring managers welcoming new team members and sharing market updates internally via video.
As a result of using video as their main sourcing strategy, Davidson are creating stronger shortlists and attracting candidates who are better aligned to the client’s culture and values.
Work experience and skills can be fairly ubiquitous, but the introduction of video has helped Davidson get closer, quicker to the more crucial question ‘Can I actually work with this person?’ Getting the culture fit question as close to right as possible, as early as possible in the process ultimately leads to a more efficient recruitment process and happier clients.
